Position Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for performing data entry work using a personal computer and appropriate software; entering, updating, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded.  The position reports to Case Manager Supervisor and operates under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of independent judgment, discretion and initiative.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Processes client applications to determine assistance.
  • Enter client information into database accurately and timely.
  • Ensure all client applications are processed.
  • Process client payments.
  • Maintains forms and an adequate filing system.
  • Operate office machines such as fax, computer, adding, calculating, and copying machines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to operate various word-processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements and policies.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and utilize effective time management techniques.
  • Ability to respect confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to carry out multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow instructions furnished in verbal or written format.

 Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Trainings:

High School Diploma, or GED

 Experience:

Minimum of one year related experience and/or training

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
